Dear Korea,
Yesterday I walked by a small food stand in the subway station on my way to work. These are so common and in every subway station that often I walk by without taking in the intricacy of daily life. The subtle yet completely different cultural nuances that I miss because I focus too much on getting to my destination. It’s ironic that Korea is so fast-paced, yet it’s made me slow down. There is a special calmness to Korea I don’t experience in America. A quietness of the mind. It’s little moments like this on my way to work that will live with me forever.
